1 - Episódio 1

João Guimarães Rosa é enviado para Hamburgo e é apresentado a Aracy no consulado. A repressão aos judeus aumenta. Vivi é incomodada por jovens nazistas, mas Zumkle os faz parar.

The murder of a German diplomat by a Jew leads to Crystal Night. Helena tries to convince Vivi to spy on SS officers. Rudi is arrested. João discovers Aracys scheme.

Zumkle promises Vivi that he will free his father. The captain follows Aracy and discovers that she is helping Hugo and Margarethe. João and Aracy are observed by Zumkle.

Zumkle takes advantage of the expropriation of non-Aryan businesses. Vivi decides to help Helena by getting information for the resistance. Zumkle makes a false complaint against João.
